Name: Sylvie (shares fridge with boyfriend)

Age: 31

Profession: Project manager in communication and special events

Who cleans the fridge: The boyfriend (lucky girl)

Favorite snack: “Two slices of fresh, moist bread (you know, the kind that sticks to your palate) dipped in maple syrup from La Beauce. Preferably the one made with love by my dad or my father-in-law. It’s to die for!”

Oldest thing in the fridge: A jar of mustard that she hates and that only the boyfriend eats from.

What gets trashed the most: “Fresh herbs. I don’t know how to make them last. Any tips?”

  1. Most fresh herbs are highly perishable. They can be stored for short periods of time in the refrigerator, wrapped in paper towels and placed in a plastic bag. They can also be frozen in ice trays covered with water or broth.
